Do Not Buy, Waste of Time and Money

The back cover reads "Here are 6 characteristics of and [sic] Alpha Male," followed by eight bullet points. I should have known then. It should also have been a clue that, "Jack Landry" has no "About the author" or any other qualifications listed anywhere in the book. Additionally, the book opens up with a disclaimer, letting you know that, basically, there were good intentions when writing this book, but the author/publisher is under no obligation to prove or support any claims made within.

This book is utter horses***. Seemingly written by a teenager, this "book" seems to be a watered-down summary of several other books within the "manification help and support" genre, and over the course of 100 size-20 font pages (so using a normal font it would probably clock in around 50 pages), blows through several topics without ever going more than surface deep, and certainly not using any sort of research or third-party support to reinforce any of the authors opinions.

It is mind-blowing to me that this book has mostly 4 and 5 star reviews. Mind-blowing. Vanity Fair probably is a better authority on "alpha males."

Tl;dr-- Save your money. You could get the same (or better) experience by watching youtube videos. 100% waste of a book.

What an interesting book! Many Alpha Male books are out of the market, many provide basic ideas and some is just misleading the reader's about its real meaning. For men’s out there, if you really want to know how to be a true Alpha Male, then this is the book that has the most accurate information. After reading this book, I can guarantee you, the feeling of being anxious at parties or being shy around people will leave you alone. Be ready to transform your life in no time! It needs your action and the required knowledge on this book. So much worth recommending book.

Thank Goodness for Kindle Return Policy...

I should have suspected something when I saw that all 14 reviews of this book were 5 stars. Probably the authors' friends doing them a favor. I don't know.

It's also possible that I'm not deep enough, not genius enough, or just wasn't in the right frame of mind when I read this book.

What's more, I'm SURE that the authors believe what they wrote and I bet it worked for them.

Still, after the first 10 pages of self-glorification about their path to this amazing process (hey, instead of telling me about HOW you got there, just tell us what it is first), I thought to myself, "ok, I don't have time for this crap. It just feels like a ton of BS."

I'm not anti-self-help books. I've read a ton and liked a ton of them. Have reviewed a slew on my blog as well, so that's not it. It's just that this one didn't cut the mustard for me and, well, I feel like it's my duty to help others.

If you don't agree, go ahead, buy it, try it and see for yourself. At least you can return it and get a refund if I'm right.

Wow. Was really pumped at the idea of the book. The reviews here, which now seem obviously coordinated by friends, only heightened that. But completely devoid of any real substance. Basically, the notion of the book is to take whatever's quirky or unique about yourself.. consider it "genius".. and then sell it like the author has. Although.. unless your genius is simply declaring everything genius just because it's different... you're out of luck because the author has already taken that one.

Several other fairly well-traveled concepts such as hang-around-those-you-want-to-be-like or the idea or being genuine are woven into this overall concept that the author just begs the question of the whole book. Actually, she is a genius... at creating the expectation that you're about to hear something original... but it never really happens. The author could probably write an amazing book about PR because she has done a great job of creating the illusion of substance when there really isn't any.

Normally don't like to spend energy being negative about anything but for this book, it's simply wrong NOT to call out this book.

Compassion Goes a Long Way

This is not a "self-help" book for "Self-Help" books are a complete misnomer. When you read them it's not YOU that is helping "you," it's the author (arguably), and too often they don't really help; they simply give you more ammunition for your already restless mind.

Gina has written an "owner's manual," really, containing a toolkit to help you discover and project your own greatness. Gina believes everyone is great; everyone is a "genius" with unique assets, strengths, and passions. "Practical Genius" is finding the intersection of what you love and what you do best so that can share that greatness with others and, in turn, help them express their greatness as well.

Using the tools (or the "Playbook" as Gina refers to her exercises) is not easy, however. I found myself frustrated many times at not being able to summon the answers to questions like "Can you name the all-time greatest moment of your life?" Or, "What are the `themes' in your life?" Huh? Themes? I have themes?! Despite the periodic frustrations, the "Playbook" helps you gain more inner clarity (and a little self-confidence) and also provides a roadmap on how you can express, sustain, and market your genius.

Authors of similar books provide personal guidance but none do it with the same compassion as Gina. If you have the courage to ask yourself hard questions, Gina will support you on your journey.

Reyna seems to be an amazing beautiful person inside and out

I have followed Reyna on social media forever. I was so excited when she decided to write a book and couldn't wait to purchase it. A lot of the things she wrote hit home for me. Its crazy how someone you don't know at all could have/went through the same things that you did. Reyna seems to be an amazing beautiful person inside and out. I contacted her on social media and unlike others, she didn't ignore me. I hope that she writes more books and even looking ones. I'm looking forward to the things she has in store.

I love this book, everything about it! All 108 pages. It's amazing, not only is the book but the author. I've been following her for a while now, on every social media and she is an amazing human being, inside and out. If you honestly need a reminder of what it is to love yourself, you definitely need to read this book.

The Jonas Warstad self assessment biography

As a student of criminal psychology, this book offends me. Not just because it's drivel, not just because the writer comes off as a self congratulatory egotist who's getting his rocks off acting like a genuine authority on the subject... But because I think Mr. Warstad may well be a psychopath, I'd love to interview him.

He claims to be a master of many things, his website states that he is a mentor and master of "energy medicine", "energy psychology" and "laws of attraction", as well as being willing to talk you through meditation or teach you self defense; all for a price, I'm sure a pittance like this book, but nonetheless. This book exposes nothing of value relating to psychopathic behavior you cannot glean from any number of better books out there, what it does however, is provide you with a trove of dangerous nonsense. Would you read a how to book on lion taming and walk into a cage with five, six hundred lb cats thinking "I've got this, that ****ing book was awesome!" I ask, because lions are less dangerous than psychopaths and in the same way training in martial arts can be detrimental to your health due to it facilitating a decreased fear and anxiety reaction in the face of danger, so can a false sense of security gained by placing too much stock in trite BS like this book is full of.

I could have written a better book than this in my second year of school, but I didn't because I have a conscience and knew that I would be silly to pretend I was something I was not at the time, an inhibition Mr. Warstad doesn't seem to suffer from. Read
"Without conscience", "People of the lie", buy a criminal psych text book, hell "the sociopath next door" is of more actual use than this pile of dung in leading someone to understand what a psychopath is and how they function.

Don't waste your money here, I'm still irritated I paid 0.50$ for the book at the local half price store.

The Psychopath Exposed

This book is amazing. As I was reading through it, I gained an understanding of what I had just gone through with a psychopath. This helped me to understand what had happened and how and that I did not have to blame myself for this. It is a true eye opener to understand that there are people in this world who actually behave like this, and care less about anyone elses feelings. It is truly a tool to help someone who has experienced this type of individual to be able to start to heal. I am so grateful for this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to understand what has happened to them and why.

Although it's a short book, it manages to repeat the same lines over and over. I don't know how reading this could help anybody understand or deal with actual psychopaths (unless you're completely ignorant on the subject). It's filled with black and white scenarios that are unrealistic and always have the same speech "remember, a psychopath doesn't understand how to love and is not your real friend..." The author presents his views as if they were scientifically backed but what you are really getting is what he thinks of sociopaths, and how he thinks you should act in hypothetical situations.
