Another day in the life of our favorite four good guys!

This is another GREAT story in the Noah Wolfe saga! The fab four are back at it again and up against their most formidable opponent. He's a ruthless assassin that EVERYONE is after, though few have ever seen his face and lived to tell about it, because this guy leaves NO loose ends! NONE! However, when the assassin is captured by MI6, E & E sets up Noah in his place to take down the head of the organization who hired the assassin. Simple -- right? As our guys get in place and start working their plan, the real assassin escapes and now there are two of them -- the real one and Noah, whose has been made to look just like him -- dyed hair, minor facial reconstruction, and color changing contacts. All the good stuff here -- new gadgets from Neil, fast cars and fancy driving form Sarah, Moose doing his muscle thing, and Noah methodically working the plan -- killing the bad guys and never feeling a thing! All the other good guys are here too -- Allison, Dr. Parker, Jefferson -- almost recovered from his ordeal in the last book, and our favorite Brit, Catherine. Some of the other things I love about this group is all the talk about food! In the midst of the planning a lethal attack, they're eating chicken, scarfing down steak, making sandwiches, etc. Not sure if this next point is setting up a potential lover's quarrel or split, but Sarah was exceptionally whiney and clingy in this book, Allison told her just before this mission that Molly was coming to work for E & E, but we don't see her in this story. I guess she'll show up in the next book. Sarah's behavior could be laying the ground work for some problems in her and Noah's relationship! Hope not, but it could be a good plot twist for the future. Plus, there's some foreshadowing?? in the book -- when Noah said he wished he knew what love felt like and Sarah told him she thought it was just all locked away in his brain and she worried about when it broke loose, and also some foreshadowing of character death -- no spoilers here, but keep your eyes open and keep your head down! Couple of glaring errors editing should have caught -- used Adrian's name when it should have been Allison, and a few other true typos that shouldn't have made it all the way to final cut before publishing. One storyline error I think -- Sam saying how blessed he was to be married to Belinda, and what a good wife she was, then he asks Catherine out later in the story. Did the author forget Sam was married?? Also, some loose ends not tied up. . . like Mr. Broussard! Hopefully, we'll find out these things in the next book! Even with my few complaints, still a great read -- fast paced and we get to hang out with these guys!

Order has been restored at Neverland and Team Camelot is back in action. Their job? Take out a man who uses his status as a legitimate arms dealer to manipulate governments and entire nations.The only way to infiltrate the man's organisation is for Noah to apply for the only position open: an assassin. He impersonates someone described as a recently-deceased assassin.

It doesn't take long for Team Camelot to discover that everything is not as it seems and the truth will be shocking! Unfortunately, Team Camelot loses a team member in this book.

There were more errors in this book than in past books. There are words that don't belong at all (example: asked for past) and sentences that don't make sense (example: "Either way, it he’s really here, he doesn’t leave alive.”). Noah & Neil's characters are both named during one scene (all in the same paragraph), you can't tell right away who's flying a plane and who's jumping out of it with Moose.

From the beginning of the book, a character's name is spelled as Adrian and IN THE VERY NEXT PARAGRAPH, it's spelled Adrienne. This happens more than once. This isn't only a continuity mistake, it's laziness on the part of the author.
In another instance, for a few pages, a meeting is discussed. It is a meeting to be set up for Noah (as Adrian) to meet a council that wants him to assassinate a member of the royal family. The meeting is referred to as happening both "tonight" ("You and I would meet again here tonight at ten, and will be taken by limousine to the meeting place sometime after that." AND "Shall we conclude our meeting for now, then, and meet again tonight as scheduled?") and "tomorrow some time" ("We are meeting with Adrian tomorrow in London." AND "It’ll happen sometime tomorrow, but I don’t have a specific time or place.”). If you're still interested, it was "tonight".

If Mr. Archer has a proofreader, he should think about getting rid of same. If he does not have one, maybe he should consider getting one. These are pretty obvious mistakes and errors... With some of the errors, it seems like notes might have been dictated and transcribed incorrectly -- something else that should have been caught.

I'm no writer, but I'd like to think I'd at least read over the manuscript BEFORE it was published under MY name one last time before publishing (even if I did have a transcriber, proofreader, friend or anyone checking my book for errors and continuity).

It's becoming more difficult to read these books because of the numerous errors... it's distracting and I just cannot easily "fix" the errors in my own mind as I read anymore... This book only gets 3-stars because of the sheer number of mistakes. As I've stated in other reviews, a good proofreader would easily raise all my reviews for this series to 5-star ratings.

I have not decided if I want to purchase other books by Mr. Archer because of the errors -- there were errors in this series (Noah Wolf series) and there were also errors in his other series (Sam Prichard series).

Needless to say, I don't think the characters Mitch Rapp (by author Vince Flynn) or Alex Cross (by author James Patterson) have anything to worry about just yet (in spite of the author's blurb comparing his character, Noah Wolf, with those characters), but that is just my opinion...

Love the Story. Editing is Terrible,

Good story, as usual. Engaging characters. But the editing for everything from tense and person to continuity is atrocious. It is as if they did not bother to give it a final read. This is typical of David Archer's Noah Wolf series. It feels almost like an insult, as if the author and publisher were in such a hurry to take my money, they couldn't bother with some professional quality control.
It only bothers me because I like the characters and the story. I feel like I am reading a rough draft. There are times when an event is happening tonight, but characters continually speak of tomorrow instead. It is inconsistent. And little things, like an airplane throttle being pulled out to give power, rather than pushed in.

This book explores this complex process of adaptation, paying particular attention to the various transformations that occur when texts cross cultural boundaries. Through close readings of a range of Japanese horror films and their Hollywood remakes, this study addresses the social, cultural, aesthetic and generic features of each national cinema’s approach to and representation of horror, within the subgenre of the ghost story, tracing convergences and divergences in the films’ narrative trajectories, aesthetic style, thematic focus and ideological content. In comparing contemporary Japanese horror films with their American adaptations, this book advances existing studies of both the Japanese and American cinematic traditions, by:

• illustrating the ways in which each tradition responds to developments in its social, cultural and ideological milieu; and,

• examining Japanese horror films and their American remakes through a lens that highlights cross-cultural exchange and bilateral influence.

'The American adaptation of the sensationally popular Japanese horror film Ringu (1998)--released in English as The Ring (2002)--started a trend of Hollywood remakes of Asian horror film.� Wee (National Univ. of Singapore) uses� this trend to analyze cross-cultural adaptation and intercultural influence between Hollywood's and Japan's representations of horror.� Wee explores how the values and ideologies expressed in Japanese horror films are altered or rejected in the American adaptation--and how these changes reflect either differing or similar value systems and cultural beliefs.� In the introduction and the first two of seven chapters, the author establishes historical context and provides an analytical framework for the text.� Subsequent chapters focus on specific themes--visual aesthetics of horror; single mothers and abandoned daughters; apocalyptic visions; and (post)modern anxieties--contrasting a specific J-horror film with its American remake.� The result of this type of analysis, according to Wee, is broader understanding not only of social anxieties of a specific period, as reflected in horror films, but also of shifts in a sociocultural environment over time.� Summing Up: Recommended.� Upper-division� undergraduates through faculty.'

Unputdownable

Brilliantly written account of the terrible toll on ordinary people's lives of 30 years of undeclared war in Northern Ireland. The first chapter is a masterful overview and reflection on what happens when consensus is either absent or breaks down and communities turn on each other. The only weakness is the final chapter which I felt accorded too much respect to some poets who were more focused on preserving their position within the British and Irish establishment than on reflecting the reality of life in embattled and marginalised communities.

One of the best books on the subject on Quantum Mechanics/Quantum Physics, and how the physical world responds to your vibration, energy, and how thoughts can turn into things. What may seem like MAGIC to outsiders peering in, is actually metaphysical concepts explained so well that these ideas are easily understood by those who aren't familiar with the subject. Read and try everything suggested in this book and see what happens. I highly suggest reading the entire series!

Once you grovel through the multiple examples of Mr. Zeland's comparisons with Quantum Physics, you are able to grasp a few good ideas. It takes time though, and a very analytical mind to really appreciate this book, especially knowing it's the only 2nd one in a series of 5. The subject has always been one I enjoyed, so I went on reading 1/2.
Call me biased, but I think The Law of Attraction from Abraham Hicks, The Way of The Wizard from Deepack Chopra and the Seth books from Jane Edwards present the same principles in a different, sometimes easier way to grasp.

This little book was our bible on a recent trip to Rome. I will always be grateful that DK included San Clemente in their top 10. This amazing little church is like a layer cake of fascinating things to see. The street level is a lovely 12th century church with beautiful floors, columns, and frescoes. Underneath is an excavated 4th century church that includes a frescoe with the first sentence ever written in Italian: "Fili de le pute traite", or "Pull, you sons of whores!" I kid you not. This level also includes the tomb of Saint Cyril, creator of the Cyrillic alphabet, and a wonderful tombstone with a pagan inscription on one side, and on the other, an early Christian inscription -- it was recycled! They have it set up so you can flip it over to see both sides. Finally, the bottom level has ancient ruins, including a Mithraic (pagan) shrine.

The only time the book let us down was its recommendation of Da Augusto, a restaurant in Trastevere. This was their #1 listing under "Cheap Eats" for Trastevere but it was the only unappetizing food we were served in our whole trip.

Pretty good

We took this on our Rome trip- I'd use it again because it was a great way to narrow down things we wanted to see, and to discover new cool things we wouldn't have thought of otherwise. The accuracy was really hit or miss- don't trust this book for bus routes, business hours, or historical facts.

Great book for an awesome character!

“Sure, I’m the saboteur for this happy band of rebels. But in my heart I’m an ARTIST!” That’s what Sabine Wren wrote in the latest children’s book by Studio Fun, Sabine My Rebel Sketchbook. Written by Dan Wallace and illustrated by Annie Stoll, this rebel sketchbook is a companion book to the popular Disney XD animated television series, Star Wars Rebels. Sabine Wren is a 16-year-old girl with an affinity for weapons and art. As a crew member of the starship Ghost, she is the resident expert in all things that go boom, making her a vital player in the struggle against the Empire. Like any other teenager, though, she also finds ways to express herself through her art. In a day and age where art is important in a child’s development, Sabine My Rebel Sketchbook encourages children (and adults) to explore and use their imagination.

As a fan of color, art, and Star Wars, I was immediately attracted to the concept of this book. From every single word right down to the last doodle, each page was captivating, introducing new ideas (Sabine’s respirators when working around paint fumes) and bringing back old ones (a few Bothans pop up here and there). This book also contains fun gems for Star Wars fans looking into canon terms and events, my absolute favorite being Mando’a. Fans of Mandalorian culture will be happy to know that Sabine speaks and writes Mando’a. As for the rest of the content it covers, the book is not a rehash of the first ten episodes. You get to relive major events that have happened, but the book does a great job at adding her insights and opinions as well as a decent amount of new content.

From the energetic point of view of the character to the warm and bright colors that enchant the reader, the book is an absolute delight. The combined efforts of Dan Wallace’s writing and Annie Stoll’s illustrations make for a refreshing and satisfying result, especially in a market where Sabine and her mentor, Hera Syndulla, are often neglected from merchandise. If this book doesn’t want to make you sketch, spray paint, or pick up a set of brilliant watercolors, then I don’t know what will. Sabine, first and foremost, thinks and communicates with images, so Annie Stoll beautifully captured her style and voice. And the great thing about the book is that you can speak through your own sketches as well. Take advantage of the blank pages towards the end and add some of your own doodles and art to complete the experience!

Gives more info about Sabine, a fascinating character

Sabine is a great character, and since she's also an artist, of course she needs a sketchbook!

Filled with more facts about the young Mandalorian,the text includes details about her armor, her favorite explosives, her tech, and her feelings about her crewmates and some of their missions. And of course, the book is full of her artwork. It's a great buy for fans of the Rebels show. I bought it for my daughter (Sabine is her favorite Star Wars character), but of course, I read it myself!

This book has exceptional art exploding on every page. The quality of the writing is awesome and written in character as if you are viewing the character's own thoughts. Thoughts like opinions on the Empire's ban on grafitti and thermal detonators all contribute to an essential insight on the Rebel universe!

A must have for any real star wars fan!

Cant wait for Episode 7!!! Great Job Annie the illustrator!!!
