It covers a wide array of conditions, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, Asperger’s syndrome, high-function/moderate/severe autism, and pervasive developmental disorders to name but a comparative handful. ADHD was singled out in the title because it co-occurs with so many other developmental syndromes, and because it is so vastly misunderstood by many people, even by those whose business it is to know what it is and what it is not.
ADHD stands out above most other delays, because it creates socially disruptive behaviors, and because of its profoundly negative effect on the learning environment. Under the current public education model, an entire class can be disrupted and kept from learning, for example, by just one hyperactive child.
Meanwhile, said child, over time, develops self-image issues and complexes that can keep them from achieving their true potential. By not identifying and addressing the underlying cause for their behaviors, we get pseudo-solutions like behavioral modification through drugs masquerading as “medicine”. We get ineffective special education plans that exclude them from academic expectations, and the child goes labeled for life as being less than they really are!
Among the top offenders of underlying causes are heavy metal, caffeine and sugar diet, nutrient deficiencies, processed food sensitivities, and/or environmental toxic exposure. These are addressable, if the adults in their lives will address them. Better and more complete than “How To” book on the topic, this book shows you how.
Traumas—emotional and physical--from a wide variety of sources, including spousal abuse, child neglect, war, and accident number among those known to affect child development—can also be identified and addressed. This book shows you how.
Some causes are controversial, such as vaccination trauma, toxic chemicals added to [public] drinking water, and iron overload that is infused into infant formulae. These, without a doubt, present challenges to a child’s immunology, neurology, and overall health. In short, they slow the child’s cognitive and physical development.

In this book, the reader will know what they can do—and be able to exercise better judgment in the courses of action for their developmentally disordered child. This is a very informative book. It doesn't just talk about ADHD, but how to provide your children with a strong foundation of health. there are so many environmental factors that need to be recognized and dealt with to help our children regardless of if they have a learning disability or not.
